Mitrasacme pilosa Labill. APNI* Description: Perennial, prostrate, procumbent or ± erect herb, usually 5–10 cm high; branches weak, coarsely and densely hirsute; hairs ± spreading.
Leaves with lamina narrow-oblong to narrow-ovate, 4–10 mm long, 1–3 mm wide; apex acute; margins usually recurved; surface glabrous or hairy.
Flowers in upper axils or in small terminal, leafy umbels; pedicels to 4 cm long; sparsely to densely hairy, with short to long hairs. Calyx 1.5–3.5 mm long, 4-lobed; lobes about as long as tube. Corolla 4–5 mm long; lobes c. 2 mm long.
Capsule 2–3 mm diam.
Flowering: chiefly spring–summer.
Distribution and occurrence: Grows in wet areas in heath, rocky crevices and near waterfalls; south from the Blue Mtns.
