Melicope contermina C.Moore & F.Muell. APNI* Description: Shrub or small tree to 6 m high.
Leaves 3-foliate; leaflets ptiolulate, elliptic, 4–9 cm long, 2–3.5 cm wide, apex acute, base attentuate, oil dots numerous; lateral leaflets asymmetrical.
Inflorescences axillary, 9–15 flowered, 5–10 cm long. Flowers bisexual. Sepals c. 2 mm long, gland-dotted. Petals 6–7 mm long, white. Stamens in male flowers c. 4 mm long.
Cocci 4, 12–15 mm long; seeds ± globose, 5–6 mm long, shiny, black.
Flowering: Flowers and fruits September–March.
Distribution and occurrence: Lord Howe Island, endemic. Found in forest and on open ridges.
