Melhania oblongifolia F.Muell. APNI* 
Description: Shrub to 70 cm high, with a whitish velvety tomentum.
Leaves oblong to lanceolate, mostly 2–5 cm long, rarely to 8 cm, 10–15 mm wide, toothed; petiole 5–10 mm long; stipules 4 mm long.
Peduncles 2–5 cm long. Epicalyx c. 6 mm long. Calyx lobes c. 10 mm long. Petals c. 12 mm long, yellow.
Capsule 8–10 mm long, tomentose, surrounded by persistent epicalyx and calyx.
Flowering: mainly spring to summer.
Distribution and occurrence: Widespread in inland areas; in the NW of N.S.W., north from White Cliffs and chiefly west of New Angledool; recorded also near Boggabri.
