Description: Diffuse herb to 20 cm high.
Basal leaves spathulate to elliptic, 1–5 cm long, 5 mm wide, ± entire, obtuse, tapering into a short petiole; stem leaves reduced to scales.
Outer perianth whorl c. 2 mm long. Inner perianth deeply 5-lobed and petaloid, 1–2 mm long or absent, white to pinkish.
Capsule globose, c. 2 mm long; seeds c. 1.5 mm long, black with a small white aril.
Distribution and occurrence: in hind-dune swamps or stabilized sand dunes along the coast, extending into trop.and inland to Yetman district.
