Description: Rhizome very shortly creeping, scales narrow, yellowish.

Fronds tufted, the sterile much shorter than the fertile, 1-pinnate; pinnae fan-shaped; stipe and rachis straw-coloured.

Sterile fronds usually 2–5.5 cm long, c. 15 mm wide, the margins irregularly crenate. Fertile fronds usually 10–20 cm long, 10–15 mm wide, margins entire or incised. Sori continuous or interrupted by marginal lobing; indusium pale, with an uneven margin.


Distribution and occurrence: in damp places, in heath or woodland; widespread, north from Jervis Bay.
