Description: Erect to spreading shrub 25–80 cm high; branchlets sparsely pubescent.
Leaves narrow-ovate to elliptic, 3.8–10.5 mm long, 0.9–1.9 mm wide margins recurved, sparsely toothed to ciliate; lamina glabrous, concolorous, upper surface flat to convex, lower surface striate-veined; petiole to 1 mm.
Flowers pendent, 6–15 together in spikes up to 8 mm long, white; bracteoles 0.8–1 mm long. Sepals 1–1.35 mm long. Corolla tube 0.6–0.8 mm long, glabrous; lobes 0.6–0.9 mm long.
Fruit ovoid to obovoid, c. 2.3 mm long, smooth, glabrous.
Flowering: February–October, mainly April and August-September
Distribution and occurrence: Grows in coastal heath in skeletal sand on ridge tops and rock platforms; from Broadwater to Myall Lakes and also at Jervis Bay.
