Description: Shrub to 2 m high, bark lifting and flaking, younger stems closely silky, glabrescent.
Leaves irregularly broad- to narrow-elliptic, thick, incurved, glabrous, often with conspicuous glands, 5–15 mm long, 1–5 mm wide; apex acute or acuminate, point pungent; base tapering to a short broad petiole.
Flowers solitary, mostly 10–12 mm diam., white. Hypanthium c. 4 mm long, usually glabrous, with conspicuous glands. Sepals c. 2.5 mm long, glabrous. Petals c. 5 mm long. Stamens 2.5–4 mm long. Ovary 5-locular.
Fruit surface lifting, very variable in size, mostly 5–12 mm diam.
Flowering: October–November
Distribution and occurrence: Grows in heath and sclerophyll forest on rocky sites, especially granite outcrops, north from Point Lookout.
