Description: Annual or ephemeral herb 10–20 cm high, sometimes to 60 cm, erect, stems with long spreading obtuse hairs.
Leaves usually 2–3 cm long, 1–2.5 mm wide, pinnatisect to pinnatifid with linear lobes, tending to fall in mature plants.
Inflorescence an elongating raceme. Sepals 0.7–1 mm long. Petals reduced, linear. Stamens usually 2. Silicula elliptic to ovate, 4–6 mm long, c. 3 mm wide, wings in upper half forming narrow apical notch; pedicel 2–3 mm long, erect to spreading, hairy.
Distribution and occurrence: Widespread in arid and semi-arid regions.
