Lasiopetalum rufum R.Br. ex Benth. APNI*
Description: Erect or diffuse shrub 0.5–1 m high.
Leaves mostly 4–6 cm long, sometimes shorter, margins revolute; upper surface glabrous to finely pubescent, lower surface white-tomentose; secondary veins not visible; petiole 2–3 mm long.
Cymes mostly 2- or 3-flowered, shorter than leaves; shortly pedunculate; bracteoles > 2 mm long, 1–1.5 mm wide. Calyx lobes mostly 4–5 mm long, both surfaces hairy.
Capsule 3–5 mm diam., tomentose.
Flowering: spring.
Distribution and occurrence: In sandy heath, on coast and adjacent plateaus and lower ranges; chiefly in the Sydney region from Woy Woy to Menai.
