Description: Perennial herb or broom-like subshrub to 40 cm high, with a woody rootstock; stems appressed-hairy, grey-white to greenish.
Leaves absent or 1.5–3.5 cm long; leaflets 5–9, only present on leaves at the base of the annual growth, obovate or obcordate, up to 4 mm long and 2 mm wide; upper leaves appearing simple or absent; stipules narrow-triangular, up to 1 mm long.
Inflorescences 1.5–2 cm long. Calyx with grey or brown hairs, teeth shorter than the tube. Petals pink.
Pod ± terete, 20–25 mm long, sparsely appressed-hairy; seeds several, endocarp spotted.
Distribution and occurrence: Recorded from stony ground; very rare, only known from a few collections from the Dubbo area.

Until recently, despite several searches, this species had not been seen for more than 60 years. A small population has now been rediscovered and is currently being assessed by NSW Department of Planning, Industry and Environment. Note added by K.L. Gibbons, 29 September 2021.
