Description: Diffuse ephemeral or annual herb mostly less than 10 cm high.
Leaves linear, mostly < 10 mm long.
Perianth segments < 2.5 mm long, obtuse, greenish with a membranous margin. Stamens 5.
Capsule globose; seeds numerous, angular, with a single low ridge on the keel.
Distribution and occurrence: Widespread in arid areas, but uncommon.
