Homoranthus virgatus A.Cunn. ex Schauer APNI* 
Description: Erect virgate shrub, usually 0.5–1.5 m high; glabrous.
Leaves bilaterally flattened to terete, usually 6–10 mm long and up to 1 mm wide.
Flowers solitary, on a peduncle c. 1 mm long, forming small clusters at end of branchlets; bracteoles shed before anthesis. Hypanthium narrow-obconical, 4.5–5.5 mm long, strongly 5-ribbed, glandular between ribs. Sepals 1.5–2 mm long. Petals up to 1 mm long, white to pink. Style exceeding petals by up to 3 mm.
Flowering: late spring to summer.
Distribution and occurrence: Grows in coastal heath or dry sclerophyll forest on sandy soil; north from Taree.
