Description: Spreading shrub, usually 1–1.5 m high; glabrous.
Leaves linear, ± terete, 2–5 mm long and up to c. 1 mm wide.
Flowers pendent on specialized 2-flowered shoots, each flower ± enclosed by 2 bracteoles that persist till after anthesis. Hypanthium narrow-obconical, 4.5–6 mm long. Sepals 6 to 10 narrow lobes, yellow. Petals c. 1.5 mm long, yellow. Style protruding 7–8 mm beyond petals.
Flowering: March to December.
Distribution and occurrence: Occurs from the Dubbo area to west of Denman Grows in shrubby woodland, usually in deep sandy soils over sandstone.
