Hodgkinsonia ovatiflora F.Muell. APNI* 
Description: Small tree to 25 m high, ± glabrous.
Leaves elliptic or narrow-ovate, 4–8 cm long, 1–4 cm wide, apex acute to bluntly acuminate, lamina soft, thin-textured, ± glabrous, glossy, reticulate veins fine and prominent particularly on lower surface, hairy tufts present along lower midrib; petiole 4–10 mm long; stipules triangular.
Inflorescences umbellate, axillary on peduncles to 3 cm long; flowers unisexual, yellowish green. Male flowers 10–20 per umbel; calyx c. 1 mm long; corolla tube urceolate, c. 4 mm long. Female flowers few per umbel; calyx 2–2.5 mm long; corolla tube ± globose, 2–2.5 mm long.
Fruit ovoid, 5–10 mm long, black, ribbed when dry.
Flowering: November–January
Distribution and occurrence: Grows mostly in dry rainforest, north of the Hastings R.
