Description: Woody climber, sometimes a shrub, ± glabrous.
Leaves opposite; lamina ovate to oblong-ovate, mostly 3–8 cm long, 1.5–4 cm wide, apex shortly acuminate, base cuneate to rounded, domatia pit-like, inconspicuous in vein axils, lamina leathery-textured, dry; petiole 2–5 mm long.
Flowers axillary, 1–3 together on peduncles c. 2–5 mm long, unisexual. Calyces ± united, irregularly toothed. Corolla cream, tube shorter than lobes, lobes 4 or 5, 2–3 mm long.
Syncarp irregularly shaped or globose, mostly 4–10 mm diam., orange-red.
Flowering: spring.
Distribution and occurrence: north from Wallis Lake; not common. Grows in dry rainforest.
