Description: Tree to 15 m high.
Leaves up to 30 cm long (mostly up to 15 cm), leaflets 1–6, elliptic-oblanceolate, 3–14 cm long, 1.2–5.5 cm wide, apex acute to rounded, base attentuate.
Inflorescences 4–16 cm long, cymules 2–3 flowered. Petals 2–3.5 mm long, hairy on outer surface and margins.
Capsule 1.5–2.5 cm long, 1–2 (sometimes 3-) lobed. Seeds 1–1.5 mm long, black, aril orange.
Flowering: Flowers summer.
Distribution and occurrence: Endemic to Lord Howe Island. Grows in lowland forest.
