Grevillea triternata R.Br. APNI* 
Description: Shrub 0.2–1 m high.
Leaves 3–10 cm long, divided, often with secondary or rarely tertiary divisions, primary lobes 3–9, mostly 3–5-lobed, rarely secondary lobes again 3-lobed; ultimate lobes pungent, linear to narrow-triangular, 0.5–5 cm long, 0.8–3.5 mm wide; margins revolute, sometimes concealing the silky lower surface.
Inflorescences cylindrical, 1.0–2.8 cm long. Perianth white, cream or pale green, subsericeous outside, glabrous inside. Gynoecium 3.8–5.8 mm long; ovary densely hairy; style white, cream or pale green, glabrous, pollen presenter erect to oblique.
Follicle hairy with reddish brown stripes or blotches.
Flowering: winter to spring.
Distribution and occurrence: Widespread, but patchy, in dry sclerophyll forest, sandy soils on conglomerate, granite, or sandstone; from West Dapto on the coast inland to the Warrumbungle Mtns, and Gibraltar Ra. south to Berrima.
