Common name: Desert Grevillea
Grevillea pterosperma F.Muell. APNI* 
Description: Shrub 2–4 m high.
Leaves simple and linear or rarely ± terete, 5–18 cm long, c. 1–2 mm wide, or sometimes lobed with 2–6 linear lobes; margins revolute to the midvein, upper surface longitudinally ridged.
Inflorescences simple or few-branched, 6–16 cm long, branches cylindrical, dense. Perianth white to cream, villous to subsericeous outside, pilose near base or glabrous inside. Gynoecium 12–21 mm long; ovary stipitate, villous; style cream to yellow, glabrous, pollen presenter oblique.
Follicle pubescent, sometimes also with glandular hairs.
Flowering: mainly spring.
