Goodenia dimorpha Maiden & Betche APNI* Description: Erect herbs to 50 cm high, glabrous, with adventitious roots.
Leaves mostly basal from a stock, linear to obovate 1–5 cm long, 2–11 mm wide, margins entire or slightly toothed, narrowing basally, thick.
Flowers in spreading thyrso-panicles on almost leafless scapes; stalks with bracteoles. Sepals narrow-obovate, 2–6 mm long. Corolla 12–15 mm long, yellow, with stellate and cottony hairs outside, pubescent inside, with enations, auriculate; wings c. 3 mm wide. Indusium broad-obovate.
Fruit narrow-cylindrical to obovoid, 8–10 mm long; valves 2; seeds elliptic, c. 1.5 mm long, dark brown, glossy, reticulate-pitted.
Flowering: chiefly October–March
Distribution and occurrence: Grows in swampy places on sandstone, from Gosford to Waterfall in coastal areas to Blackheath in the Blue Mtns.
