Geranium obtusisepalum Carolin APNI*
Description: Ascending to decumbent perennial herb with flowering stems to 50 cm high; stems softly hairy; taproot turnip-like.
Leaves on stems opposite, palmatisect with lamina ± circular to reniform in outline, 1–2 cm long, 1–3 cm wide, 5–7-lobed; lobes obovate and mostly divided into 3 obtuse secondary lobes towards the apex, hirsute; petiole to 6 cm long.
Flowers solitary; peduncle with pedicel together 2–4 cm long, bent in the middle and upper half swollen in fruit. Sepals 5–7 mm long. Petals c. 6 mm long, pink but paler towards base. Anthers white to yellow.
Fruit 13–17 mm long; mericarps coarsely hairy; seeds dark brown, with small obscure pits.
Flowering: summer.
Distribution and occurrence: Grows in woodland and grassland at higher altitudes from the A.C.T. to the Kosciusko area.
