Description: Terrestrial herb 15–25 cm high.
Inflorescence sparse, 1–3 cm long, 1–9-flowered.
Flowers c. 7 mm across, dark purplish black. Dorsal sepal ovate, 5.5–6 mm long, c. 3 mm wide, striped, margins ciliate. Lateral sepals linear to lanceolate, c. 7 mm long, c. 1.5 mm wide, gibbous at the base, divergent. Petals ovate to lanceolate, c. 4 mm long, c. 1.4 mm wide, striped, apex long-acuminate, margins ciliate. Labellum narrow-elliptic, 4–5 mm long, c. 1.5 mm wide, apex long-acuminate, margins with numerous, coarse, spreading cilia c. 1 mm long.; callus narrow-oblong to fusiform, extending three-quarters of the distance to the labellum apex.
Flowering: January–April
Distribution and occurrence: Grows among rocks in sparse sclerophyll forest; restricted to Braidwood-Nerriga area.
