Galium bungoniensis I.Thomps. APNI* Description: Herbs with dense slender hairs, mostly 0.2–0.4mm long, rootstock becoming stout. Stems to c. 1 mm with stem angles broader than stem faces.
Leaves and stipules in whorls of 4, with stipules c. 3/5 leaf length, moving upwards along the stem to 1/2 the length of the leaves. Leaves elliptic, narrow-elliptic, ovate or lanceolate, 3–14 mm long, 1–4 mm wide, margins recurved to strongly revolute, apex acute sometimes with a terminal hair.
Inflorescences of 3–20-flowered cymes; flowers with corolla 2–3.5 mm diam., with lobes 0.8–1.4 mm long, cream or whitish green, sometimes hairy.
Mature fruits not known; developing fruit dull, smooth, 1.0–1.2 mm long.
Flowering: spring–summer
Distribution and occurrence: Bungonia, near Goulburn in central-eastern NSW. Grows in crevices in limestone rocks in forest at an altitude of c. 600 m.
