Description: Small shrub with procumbent or ascending branches, pubescent.
Leaves 3–10 mm long, 1–4 mm wide, densely pubescent, upper surface ± glabrescent, midrib exposed on lower surface; upper leaves linear to ± lanceolate, margins recurved; lower leaves ovate to elliptic or oblong, margins recurved to flat.
Flowers in short dichasia or false monochasia; bracts and bracteoles similar to leaves. Calyx 6–9 mm long, ribs with short dense spreading bristly hairs, grooves papillose or pubescent. Petals 8–13 mm long. Stamens 6.
Seeds smooth.
Flowering: spring or autumn.
