Frankenia connata Sprague APNI*
Description: Low spreading shrub to 30 cm high and 50 cm wide, stems with short spreading hairs.
Leaves clustered, linear to ± oblong, 2–9 mm long, c. 1 mm wide, margins strongly recurved with only midrib exposed on lower surface.
Flowers in loose dichasia on short lateral branches; bracts and bracteoles similar to leaves. Calyx mostly 6–8 mm long, ribs pubescent, grooves papillose to pubescent. Petals 10–14 mm long, to 6 mm wide. Stamens usually 6.
Seeds finely reticulate.
Flowering: Usually flowers spring.
