Euphrasia collina R.Br. APNI*
Description: Perennial herb or subshrub, 5–60 cm high, variable habit.
Leaves with 1–6 pairs of teeth, base narrow-cuneate to truncate.
Racemes of variable size. Calyx 3.5–16 mm long, outer surface glabrous or hairy. Corolla 9.5–16 mm long, white to purple, blue or pink, sometimes with yellow blotches on lower lip; tube glabrous at base. Stamens and filaments glabrous, lower pair 2.8–9.2 mm long, the upper pair 1.3–5.5 mm long, the area about the connectives usually hairy or rarely glabrous.
Capsule 5.5–14.5 mm long, glabrous or bristly only at apex or in upper two-thirds.
Flowering: spring–summer.
Distribution and occurrence: Grows in a wide range of habitats from coastal to alpine areas; south from Torrington district and the Nandewar Ra.
