Epilobium pallidiflorum Sol. ex A.Cunn. APNI* 
Description: Robust erect perennial to more than 100 cm high, often with leafy stolons; stems shortly pubescent with crisped hairs, sometimes restricted to lines decurrent from the leaf bases.
Leaves lanceolate to narrow-lanceolate, 3–8 cm long, 5–13 mm wide, with sparse small teeth; ± sessile.
Flowers with a conspicuous ring of hairs inside the hypanthium. Petals to 14 mm long, white or purplish pink.
Fruit 6.5–9.5 cm long, pubescent; pedicel 10–20 mm long; seeds c. 1 mm long, papillose and comose.
Flowering: spring–summer.
Distribution and occurrence: Grows along riverbanks or in swamps; south from Sydney.
