Description: Erect, bushy, lignotuberous shrub, 30–60 cm high, stems with prominent, ± triangular leaf scars; branchlets finely pubescent.

Leaves crowded at end of branches, ± erect, elliptic or rarely oblong, 2–4.9 mm long, 1.1–2.8 mm wide, apex ± obtuse, base ± obtuse, margins minutely toothed and incurving at apex; lamina thick, flat to concave with midrib prominent on lower surface; petiole 0.4–1 mm long.

Flowers in short leafy inflorescences at end of branches, 4–6 mm diam., white or cream; peduncle 1.5–2 mm long; bracts ± obtuse. Sepals 2.2–2.7 mm long. Corolla tube 1.5–2 mm long; lobes 2–3 mm long. Anthers obvious in throat.

Distribution and occurrence: Grows in heath on exposed sandstone ridges with skeletal soil in the Blue Mtns.

Substrate Skeletal sandy soils from sandstone, low nutrients.
