Description: Erect shrub to 1.5 m high.
Leaves simple, narrow-elliptic, usually 4.5–9 cm long, 6–12 mm wide, apex acute or obtuse, base attenuate, margins irregularly toothed, glabrous; petiole 1–2.5 mm long.
Flowers in 3–6-flowered cymes; pedicels 2–2.5 mm long. Sepals 4, 2–2.3 mm long, not persistent. Stamens 6–8. Ovary glabrous.
Capsule 3- or 4-winged, 14–17 mm long, 13–15 mm wide, glabrous; wings 4–5 mm wide, membranous.
Distribution and occurrence: in dry sclerophyll forest on granitic soils, restricted to Gibraltar Ra. area.
