Description: Decumbent to erect shrub 0.3–0.5 m high; stems appressed-pubescent.
Leaves evenly distributed along stem, linear, 5–12 mm long, apex shortly acuminate with straight or incurved tip, glabrous or sprinkled with white hairs.
Inflorescences short racemes or corymbs, 1–10-flowered, terminal or rarely axillary, sessile; bracts c. 1 mm long, bracteoles 1–2 mm long, both persistent, broad-lanceolate, hairy. Calyx c. 5 mm long, hairy. Standard 3–7 mm long.
Pods 3–5 mm long; seeds not known.
Distribution and occurrence: Grows in dry sclerophyll forest to woodland, usually on loam to clay; known only from near Bathurst, Yass, Canberra and Tarcutta.
NSW subdivisions: CT, ST
Other Australian states: Vic.
This species resembles D. cinerascens R. Br. and is part of a complex involving at least 2 other taxa under that name.
