Dichelachne robusta B.K.Simon APNI* Description: Robust sparse perennial to c. 1.7 m tall.
Ligule 4–5 mm long, eciliate; blade 15–30 cm long, 2–5(-8) mm wide.
Inflorescence open, ovate, 25–30 cm long, 5–10 cm wide. Spikelets lanceolate, 4.5–5.5 mm long, without rachilla extension. Glumes unequal, membranous, as long as or longer than the lemma; lower glume 3.5–4 mm long, acute; upper glume 4.5–5.5 mm long, acute. lemma lanceolate, 4–5 mm long; awn rising 0.4–0.6 mm below apex, genticulate, not twisted, 10–13 mm long; callus 0.4 mm long, pilose with hairs 0.8–1.8 mm long; palea 4.4–4.6 mm long. Antheres 3, 1.8–2 mm long.
Caryopsis not observed.
