Dichelachne montana Endl. APNI* Description: Slender tufted perennial to c. 70 cm tall.
Ligule 0.8–1.4 mm long, eciliate; blade to 14 cm long, 1.5–3 mm wide.
Inflorescence contracted, linear, 4–11 cm long, 0.5–1 cm wide. Spikelets lanceolate, 3.5–4 mm long, without a rachilla extension. Glumes unequal, membranous, longer than lemma; glume to 3.4 mm long, setiform; upper glume 3.8–4 mm long, setiform. Lemma elliptic, 3–3.5 mm long; awn arising 0.2–0.9 mm below apex, once-geniculate, not twisted, 5–8 mm long overall; callus 0.2–0.3 mm long, sparsely hairy with hairs 0.4 mm long; palea 2.4–2.6 mm long. Anthers 3, 0.4–0.5 mm long.
Caryopsis 2.8–3.2 mm long.
Distribution and occurrence: In damp places.
