Deyeuxia rodwayi Vickery APNI*
Description: Erect or ascending slender perennial, to 0.4 m high.
Leaves with sheath mostly appressed, striate, scabrous; ligule membranous, laciniate, 2–3 mm long; blade 0.7–3 mm wide, scabrous to pubescent.
Panicle contracted or somewhat spreading, 3–11 cm long, not dense, branches appressed or usually slightly spreading, bearing spikelets almost to the base. Spikelets 3.5–4.2 mm long, laterally compressed. Glumes slightly unequal, narrow acute, 1-nerved, keeled, widely gaping at maturity. Lemma subequal to glumes, lanceolate, narrow-truncate, obscurely toothed at apex, very densely scaberulous, 4-nerved above the middle, with a dorsal awn attached above the middle; awn c. 2 mm long, shortly exceeding lemma; callus barbed with hairs 0.2–0.8 mm long. Palea subequal to lemma, rather broad, 2-keeled.
Flowering: spring–summer.
Distribution and occurrence: Usually grows in montane woodland.
