Description: Slender shrub to 1 m high; branchlets arching, hispid.
Phyllodes wide- to linear-ovate, 5–20 mm long, 1–9 mm wide, undulate, pungent, apex acuminate or long-acute, base cordate to cuneate; midrib prominent on upper surface; venation obscurely reticulate.
Racemes axillary, umbelliform, 1–6-flowered on a 3–18 mm peduncle; occasionally terminal, corymbose. Calyx 2.4–3.3 mm long including 0.5–0.8 mm receptacle; upper 2 teeth united in a truncate emarginate lip.
Pod 8–9 mm long, 5–6 mm wide.
Flowering: September–December
Distribution and occurrence: Grows in heath or dry sclerophyll forest on sandy soil; coastal areas north from Thirlmere, also on tablelands near Torrington.
