Description: Erect shrub, mostly to 3 m high.
Leaves laterally compressed, 10–25 mm long, glabrous.
Flowers usually in clusters of 4; peduncles 1–2 mm long; bracts 4–13 mm long, thinner and coloured at base, green at apex; bracteoles oblong, 8–11 mm long, persisting until after anthesis. Hypanthium 5–8 mm long, 1.5–2.5 mm diam. Sepals triangular, < 1 mm long, usually entire; up to half as long as the petals. Style straight or slightly curved, 14–20 mm long, white.
Flowering: late winter to spring.
Distribution and occurrence: Grows in dry sclerophyll forest and scrub at the head of sheltered gullies on sandstone; Gosford to Manly, rare.
