Description: Erect or spreading shrub to 1.5 m high.
Leaves laterally compressed, 6–11 mm long, glabrous.
Flowers in clusters of 2–4; peduncles ± 0.5 mm long; bracts usually leaf-like, 3–10 mm long; bracteoles oblong, 3–5 mm long, yellow-green, persisting until after anthesis. Hypanthium 3–5 mm long, 1–1.5 mm diam. with prominent, acute ribs. Sepals narrow-triangular, ≤ 1.5 mm long, usually toothed; as long as or slightly longer than petals. Style 4–9 mm long, white.
Flowering: spring to early summer.
Distribution and occurrence: Grows in heath or dry sclerophyll forest in poorly drained sandy soil; Manly to Ingleside and Loftus to Helensburgh, rare.
