Description: Erect or spreading shrub, rarely over 30 cm high.
Leaves laterally compressed, mostly 6–12 mm long, glabrous.
Flowers in clusters of 2–4, paired; peduncles ± 0.5 mm long; bracts usually leaf-like, 2–12 mm long; bracteoles oblong or lanceolate, 3.5–6 mm long, yellow to green. Hypanthium 3–6 mm long, 1–1.5 mm diam., with rounded ribs. Sepals triangular, c. 1 mm long, usually entire; less than half a long as the petals. Style strongly curved, 2.5–5 mm long, white.
Flowering: late winter to early spring.
Distribution and occurrence: Grows in heath; coastal districts and the Woronora Plateau, south from Picton district.
