Dampiera sylvestris P.Sm. ex Rajput & Carolin APNI*
Description: Erect multistemmed perennial subshrub to 70 cm high, stem with 3 acute angles, glabrous except for inflorescences.
Leaves infrequently bunched towards top of stem, narrow-oblong to lanceolate, 5–8 cm long, 8–30 mm wide, margins usually entire; sessile.
Flowering branches l-4 together, 4- or 5-flowered, 20–32 mm long. Sepals linear or linear-oblong, c. 2 mm long. Corolla 14–17 mm long, with long spreading grey hairs outside; wings c. 4 mm wide, smaller above auricle.
Fruit c. 4 mm long, glabrescent, ribbed.
Flowering: chiefly August–February
Distribution and occurrence: Grows in sclerophyll forest; chiefly in coastal ranges, north from Bulahdelah.
