Cyphanthera scabrella (Benth.) Miers APNI* Synonyms: Anthocercis scabrella Benth. APNI*
Description: Erect or scrambling shrub to 1.3 m high, grey-green; branches sparsely to moderately hairy with dendritic and forked, non-glandular hairs and scattered glandular hairs.
Leaves broad-elliptic to broad-ovate or rarely elliptic, mostly 3–7 mm long, 2–4 mm wide, sometimes larger, lamina tomentose.
Flowers solitary or in 1–3-flowered cymes; pedicels 3.5–10 mm long. Calyx 1.5–2.5 mm long, glabrous. Corolla 6.5–11.5 mm long, almost glabrous, creamy-white, often tinged with yellowish green, striations purple; lobes linear, 3–6.5 mm long. Stamens 1.5–2 mm long.
Flowering: mainly spring.
Distribution and occurrence: Grows in dry or wet sclerophyll forest in sandstone-derived soil; restricted to Bilpin-Mt Wilson area in Blue Mtns.
