Distribution and occurrence: Only known from sand-dunes behind the ocean at Stockton.

This introduced species has not yet been identified. It was named as Cyperus congestus in a paper about the weedy species in the Stockton area in Cunninghamia vol. 10(3) but closer examination has shown that it is not that species.
