Description: Scrambling perennial herb. Stems weak, slender, sometimes extending up to a metre.
Leaves alternate, ovate to lanceolate, petiolate, petioles of basal leaves 14–25 mm long, on vegetative cauline leaves 3–5 mm long, all petioles winged, covered with retrorse adpressed to spreading trichomes housed in multi-cellular tubercules of 8–15 oblong to hexagonal cells. Venation camptodromous.
Inflorescence lax, with antrorse trichomes, floral bracts similar to vegetative cauline leaves. Corolla white 3.5–4 mm diameter, tube c. 1.5 mm long, subequal to limb, limb slightly expanded at throat. Faucal scales nearly as broad as lobes, emarginate with ciliate margins. Anthers 0.5–0.6 mm long, reaching the base of the faucal scales.
Mericarps 2.5–3 by 1.8–2 mm, triangular-ovate, attachment to gynobase medial, cicatrix triangular to slightly rhomboid; inner surface with prominent radiating ribs, otherwise flat, glochids absent; outer surface emarginate, glochidiate, glochids 0.5–0.7 mm long, narrowing at top, margin of outer face bearing 35–40 basally connate glochids forming a low continuous wing; face bearing a few scattered glochids, often arranged in a dorso-ventral medial band.

Distribution and occurrence: Scattered records from riparian and gully-head woodland on steep creek embankments or moist gullies.
