Description: Trailing herb with stems to 1 m long, stems angular, scabrous, with curved whitish hairs on angles.
Leaves with lamina 2–6 cm long, 2–5 cm wide, deeply 5-lobed; petiole mostly 1–3 cm long, ridged with recurved scabrous hairs on angles.
Fruit ellipsoid to obovoid, 40–60 mm long, 30–40 mm diam., densely covered with soft bristles but bristles not obscuring surface of the fruit.
Distribution and occurrence: Occasionally naturalized in forest or disturbed areas. Native of Afr.
