Description: Erect or straggling, yellowish green, many-stemmed shrub, usually 1–2.5 m high; branches slender and wiry, terete to angular, distinctly striate.
Leaves subulate, c. 1 mm long, appressed to slightly spreading, often caducous.
Flowers in clusters of 2–5; peduncle 2–3 mm long, with 1–3 bracts similar to foliage leaves; pedicels < 0.5 mm long, each with 3 bracteoles. Tepals 1–1.75 mm long, white to cream. Stamens without appendages.
Drupes mostly globose, 3.5–7 mm diam., green to yellowish, only 1 or 2 develop per cluster of flowers.
Flowering: September–January
Distribution and occurrence: Grows in woodland and mallee communities on sandy red soils; south from the Dubbo district, also recorded from the 'Castlereagh R.' ?NWS CWS SWP; Vic., S.A., W.A.

Other Australian states: Vic. W.A. S.A.
