Chloanthes parviflora Walp. APNI* Description: Shrub 30–90 cm high.
Leaves linear, 1–4 cm long, 2–5 mm wide, pale green, upper surface wrinkled-bullate, lower surface white woolly and often concealed by the revolute margins.
Flowers on pedicels mostly 1–2 mm long, woolly or pubescent with branched hairs. Calyx lobes ± linear with margins revolute towards apex. Corolla 15–30 mm long, pale mauve with purple spots; tube with a dense hairy ring above ovary; lower lip with a few scattered, short hairs on inside, lower lobe largest, broad-elliptic or ± circular, 8–12 mm long. Style usually 10–15 mm long.
Fruit with mericarps not separating.
Flowering: Flowers chiefly spring.
Distribution and occurrence: North from Cooma district. Grows in sclerophyll forest and heath in sandy to gravelly soils.
