Description: Terrestrial herb.
Leaves 2.
Flower narrow, 20–26 mm long, greenish pink with a dark labellum callus. Dorsal sepal linear to spathulate, 10–13 mm long, 2–2.5 mm wide; osmophore 2–3 mm long. Lateral sepals recurved, 10–14 mm long, c. 0.4 mm wide, divergent; osmophore 2–3 mm long, yellowish. Petals lanceolate, 7–10 mm long, c. 2 mm wide, reflexed. Labellum diamond-shaped, 7–10 mm long, 5–6 mm wide, a reddish black, insectiform callus occupying the basal two-thirds.
Flowering: December–May.
Distribution and occurrence: Widespread in moist situations, often fringing streams and rainforest; chiefly north from Robertson.
