Description: Terrestrial herb.
Leaves 2.
Flower narrow, 10–14 mm long, green to reddish. Dorsal sepal spathulate, 10–15 mm long, 2.5–3 mm wide; osmophore 2–2.5 mm long. Lateral sepals decurved, 13–18 mm long, c. 0.8 mm wide, divergent; osmophore 3–7 mm long. Petals oblong, 8–11 mm long, 2–3 mm wide, reflexed. Labellum diamond-shaped, 8–10 mm long, 5–6.5 mm wide, with a shiny, black, insectiform callus occupying the basal two-thirds of the upper surface.
Flowering: January–April
Distribution and occurrence: Common in moist areas of sclerophyll forest; north from Clyde Mtn to the Blue Mtns.
