Cheirostylis notialis D.L.Jones APNI* Description: Epilith or terrestrial herb with ± erect shoots 1–4 cm high.; rhizome 4–8 cm long, 6–10 mm diam.
Leaves 3–6 per shoot; lamina ovate, 1.3–3.5 cm long, 10–20 mm wide.
Inflorescence erect, 5–18 cm long, 1–4-flowered. Flowers opening tardily or not at all, white. Dorsal sepal 5–6 mm long, 3.5–4 mm wide. Lateral sepals 5–6 mm long, 4.3–4.5 mm wide. Lateral petals 5–6 mm long, c. 2 mm wide. Labellum apex divided into 2 oblong, spreading lobes, calli 1–3, lobed, minute; lamina lobes c. 4 mm long, 3 mm wide, oblong, with toothed distal margins.
Flowering: October–November
Distribution and occurrence: Usually grows amongst litter on the floor of littoral rainforest; north from Coffs Harbour.
