Description: Erect annual or short-lived perennial to 1.5 m high; stems with crisped and sometimes scattered long hairs.
Leaves with 20–60 pairs of leaflets; leaflets linear, 3–10 mm long, usually <1 mm wide, glabrous; petiole 2–5 mm long with sessile discoid gland 0.5–0.9 mm diam.; stipules long-pointed, 4–10 mm long.
Inflorescences supra-axillary, 1–3-flowered; pedicels 0.5–1 cm long. Petals ± obovate, to 9 mm long. Stamens 4 or 5, or 8 or 9; anthers irregular in size, 2–4.5 mm long. Ovary pubescent.
Pods 4–8 cm long, 4–5 mm wide, appressed-pubescent.
Distribution and occurrence: Grows in sclerophyll forest, roadside bush and hilly country on a variety of soils.
