Chamaecrista maritima Pedley APNI*
Description: Prostrate or tufted perennial, less than 15 cm high; stems with sparse crisped hairs.
Leaves with 15–30 pairs of leaflets; leaflets oblong, 3.3–6.6 mm long, 1–1.6 mm wide, glabrous or with a few hairs on lower surface; petiole 1.5–3 mm long, with sessile elliptic gland 0.3–0.5 mm long; stipules triangular, 2–3 mm long.
Inflorescences supra-axillary, 1–3-flowered; pedicels 0.6–2.5 cm long. Petals ± obovate, 8–10.5 mm long. Stamens 8 or 9; anthers 3–5 mm long. Ovary pubescent.
Pods 3–5 cm long, 3.5–4.5 mm wide, sparsely hairy.
Distribution and occurrence: Grows on grassy windswept headlands and hillsides on a variety of soils north from Port Macquarie district.
