Centella cordifolia (Hook.f.) Nannf. APNI*
Description: Creeping perennial herb, rooting at the nodes.
Leaves with lamina cordate, 1–3 cm long, mostly longer than broad, margins entire, sinuate or faintly crenate, lamina 5–7-veined, usually glabrescent and finally glabrous; petiole 1–5 times as long as the lamina with a sheathing broadened base with scarious margins, often purplish tinted.
Umbels subsessile or shortly pedunculate, usually 2–3 flowered, involucral bracts 2, narrow-ovate, c. 3 mm long. Sepals forming a minutely lobed persistent ring. Petals ovate, c. 1.5 mm long, purple. Anthers almost globose, deep purple.
Fruit c. 2.5–3 mm long, 4–5 mm wide, glabrous or with some hairs near the apex; mericarps with 5 distinct longitudinal ribs which are reticulately connected by weaker ones.
Flowering: late summer to autumn.
Distribution and occurrence: Grows mainly in damp places; few records, distribution poorly known.

Other Australian states: Vic. Tas. W.A. S.A.
Intermediates between these 2 species are known to occur.
