Calytrix longiflora (F.Muell.) Benth. APNI*
Description: Shrub to 2.5 m high; terminal buds without bud scales.
Leaves linear to narrow-oblanceolate, 1.5–6.5 mm long, 0.75–1.5 mm wide, margins finely toothed; petiole to 1 mm long.
Bracteoles 2–3 mm long, fused at base, glabrous, persistent. Hypanthium 6.5–14 mm long, 10-ribbed, glabrous. Sepals ± circular to broad-elliptic, 2–3.5 mm long with awn to 15 mm long, glabrous, white to deep pink, persistent in fruit. Petals narrow-elliptic, 8–12 mm long, apex acute, glabrous, pink to mauve. Stamens to 8 mm long.
Flowering: spring–summer.
Distribution and occurrence: Grows in eucalypt woodland and spinifex communities on sandy soils, chiefly north from Bourke; not common.
